What can I sell through the Creator module?

Creator is designed for eligible digital products, access, mentorships, courses, and similar offers. Physical products are routed to Ecommerce rather than being treated as Creator products. Each product can define its delivery behavior, buyer fields, category, pricing currencies, and optional marketing or affiliate settings.

How are Creator marketplace and affiliate commissions calculated together?

Sellxora compares the applicable marketplace commission rate with the affiliate commission rate for each eligible product line. The two full commissions are not stacked on the same sale. If the affiliate rate is higher, the creator deduction is the affiliate commission; Sellxora’s marketplace fee is calculated as a percentage of that affiliate commission, and the affiliate receives the remainder after that marketplace fee and any separately applicable existing affiliate platform fee. If the marketplace rate is higher than or equal to the affiliate rate, the creator deduction is the marketplace commission, and the affiliate commission is funded from that marketplace commission. Equal rates are allocated to the marketplace. For example, on a ₦100,000 eligible sale with a 30% affiliate rate and 10% marketplace rate, the creator deduction is ₦30,000 and the marketplace fee is ₦3,000; the affiliate receives ₦27,000 before any separately applicable affiliate platform fee. If the rates are 10% affiliate and 30% marketplace, the creator deduction is ₦30,000 and the affiliate’s ₦10,000 commission is paid from that amount, leaving ₦20,000 for Sellxora before other costs. Rates are applied to the eligible discounted sale amount. Direct affiliate referrals without marketplace attribution keep the existing affiliate-only commission policy.

Do marketplace and affiliate commissions increase what the buyer pays at checkout?

No. The marketplace and affiliate commission allocation is used to calculate the creator’s deduction and the resulting marketplace or affiliate earnings. It does not add those commissions to the buyer’s checkout total. Any separate buyer-facing fee that is already configured for the checkout continues to follow its existing settings; the commission allocation itself is not an extra buyer fee.

How do Creator delivery destinations work?

A Creator offer can grant an internal entitlement, provide protected files or media, or redirect the buyer to a configured destination such as a Telegram or other supported platform after successful payment. The destination must be validated, and the buyer should only receive delivery after the payment and order state are confirmed.

How do Creator currencies and payouts work?

A Creator profile has a base accounting currency derived from its registration country, with a configured fallback where needed. Creators can sell in enabled currencies, while internal wallet and settlement rules follow the Creator configuration. Payouts are an internal wallet and withdrawal workflow; they are not a claim that an external provider transfer has already occurred.

How are Creator abandoned carts handled?

When a buyer provides an email and does not complete checkout, the platform can retain the abandoned-cart record subject to consent and configured retention rules. Follow-up reminders should be sent only through the configured Sellxora or Marketing workflow, and the creator’s marketing list and tags can be applied when the required subscription and consent conditions are satisfied.

How are commission deductions reflected in Creator earnings and pending payouts?

For new orders, Creator earnings and pending-payout records use the single winning commission allocation for each product line. The creator is not deducted both the full marketplace commission and the full affiliate commission for the same eligible sale. Where a cart contains product lines with different winners, the record is shown as “Mixed allocation” with one aggregate winning deduction. Historical records created under the earlier combined calculation are preserved and may be labelled “Legacy combined”; they are not silently recalculated under the new policy.
